FANCY PRAIRIE - Barbara Lee Hoover, 73, of Fancy Prairie died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Blandinsville, the daughter of Earl D. and Hazel I. Inman Engle. She married Edgar Hoover in 1948 in Argenta. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Lynn Hoover.

Mrs. Hoover graduated from Roseville High School and attended Western Illinois University. She was a legal secretary for Barber, Segatto, Hoffee and Hines, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of Lincoln Land Quilters Association, American Sewing Guild and New Life Baptist Church in Athens.

Survivors: husband, Edgar; a son, Stephen (wife, Carrie) of Littleton; a daughter, Debbie (husband, Paul) Rasch of Fancy Prairie; five grandchildren; mother, Hazel Engle of Princeton; a brother, Kenneth (wife, Kay) Engle of Henry; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, New Life Baptist Church, Athens, the Rev. Don Neisler officiating. Burial and graveside services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Roseville Memorial Park, the Rev. Don Neisler officiating.
