PEKIN -- Clyde Clifford "Sonny" Brown, 55, of 207 Cottage Grove Ave. died at 5:31 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at his residence.

Born May 1, 1943, in Pekin to Clyde Wayne and Bernadine Lorraine Lutz Brown, he married Joyce Ann O'Lena on Nov. 24, 1962, in Momence. She survives.

Also surviving are his father of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Randall (Deborah) Downey and Kathleen Brown, both of Pekin; one sister, Dianna Billadeau of Indialantic, Fla.; and one granddaughter.

His mother preceded him in death.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 32 years, last working in May 1997 as a standards engineer at the Mossville Tech Center.

He attended Pekin Bible Church.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Revs. Bruce Main and Dave Martin will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 30 minutes before services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
