My great grandmother, Hazel Ellen Sewell was someone that I never heard an evil word about. She was a wonderful woman, a great mother according to her children, and it was a sad day when she passed away. I remember when she lived with us and she was showing the first signs of dementia, that was in the late 1970's. The only thing about having her around that us kids didn't particularly care for was watching HEE HAW whenever it came on...lol.
Hazel was the second of seven children of Granville Jackson Sewell and Cora Minerva Hughes. Her father, Granville passed away when she was 7 years old. Hazel married Homer Isaac Tripp and together they had three children...
