Gertie was the youngest daughter of Andrew M. Carter and Martha Ruark. The only thing I know about her is that her brother James Thomas Carter played piano in the tavern she managed in Pekin, Tazewell county, Illinois. She was first married to a man named Allie Lent and then married a man named Hilmer (Jack) O. Anderson (July 26, 1894 - March 1979) who was a plumber.
