Cora was the oldest of 8 children given birth by William Henry Hughes and Mary Matilda Stott. William grew up in Menard County, Illinois but for some reason in 1880, he and Mary went to Nebraska and that was where Cora was born. Cora married Granville Jackson Sewell on September 21, 1899 in Menard County, Illinois. Together they had the following children...
